LOS ANGELES A wave of consolidation is headed for the Internet travel trade, and plenty of fledgling search websites is not going to survive as a consequence of a glut of companies doing the identical factor, the chief government of travel search site SideStep said on Monday.
The company was valued at $1.6 billion in a funding round in January, when it raised 128 million pounds from a bunch of investors that included Malaysia’s sovereign fund, Khazanah Nasional, and Yahoo Japan Corp (4689.T).
